Angela Verdon is born in Derby, Derbyshire, in 1949. She is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. She began experimenting with bone china in the 1970s and now produces beautifully polished forms using clay from Valentine Clays.

Angela creates one off pieces for exhibitions while also undertaking public and private commissions. Her work is permanently displayed in numerous national and international collections in Europe, United States (f.e. the New York MET) and Japan. Her focus has evolved from translucent pierced vessels to abstract sculptural forms. The pieces emphasize the strength, tactile quality and surface tension of the material simultaneously working contrary to its inherent non-plasticity resulting in the creation of fluid evocative structures.
