Shelly / Freeman - Bath Pottery oval plate

This is an earhenware oval dish made by Bath Pottery and decorated in shades of white over grey tinglaze, at the back terra brown over brown. It measures approximately 26 cm and 22,8 cm wide (at the widest point), and at the back it is impressed BATH POTTERY. John Shelly worked there between 1951 and 1956 (John Shelly worked at Winchcombe Pottery in 1949 before leaving to start Bath Pottery in 1951). Richard Freeman worked at Bath Pottery between 1956 and 1962.
