Marie Laure Guerrier is born in 1955 in Lyon (FR). Marie-Laure Guerrier now lives in South Burgundy. After studying art history, she met ceramics in 1980 and trained with Jean Girel and Daniel de Montmollin. She started ceramics in 1980. She mainly practice the turning of unique pieces in stoneware and even more in porcelain because of its tactile qualities and its aptitude for light. The search for high temperature glazes is an important part of my work. She is instinctively close to Far Eastern ceramics and tries to go towards simplicity.
