Michel Gardelle is born on May 15, 1949 in Boulogne Billancourt. In 1967 and 1968 he visits the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. Between 1969 and 1974 Gardelle is working in Paris and is traveling throughout Europe and Africa. In 1974 he setlles in Les Landes. Gardelle continues traveling to Asia, the Middel East and Africa to meet other cultures, people, landscapes and the light. Since 1976 his works are seen in exhibitions in France and abroad.
