Welcome to Capriolus Collectable Ceramics
Welcome to the site of Capriolus Collectable Ceramics. We are art dealers, specialized primarily in Dutch ceramic art. This one-man company started in 2000 by Ger J.M. de Ree. We buy and sell ceramics of high quality and/or rarity, mediate with the sale of collections and endeavour to have our wares find their way to impassioned collectors and museums.
In our online gallery we offer varied specialisms, from early tin-glaze earthenware up to work by the post-war unica ceramists. On our website we give an as accurate as possible description of these objects. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to present all of our items on the website for your perusal. However, it is possible - by appointment, and under no obligation - to view and handle objects in our Home Gallery in Amersfoort. We are located in the centre of the Netherlands with an easy access from the highroad A1.
We devote a great deal of attention on our website to background information regarding the artists, designers and the ceramics' factories / workshops. Particularly where the 20th century ceramic activities are concerned, we are still able - by way of eyewitness accounts - to catalogue the experiences, photographs and facts in our database. Through this attention to detail, Capriolus Collectable Ceramics can be of service to many collectors and other interested parties. Should you be in possession of information and photographs of artists, designers or companies, would you be kind enough to inform us about this?
Please do not hesitate to contact us us for more enquiries and/or search orders for collectable ceramics.
P.O.L.P. - Pretty Objects, Low Prices
We added a new category in our Gallery. Here you will find a selection of objects by great artists or companies against very attractive prices.
Prestige Collection, high standard objects of museum quality
We offer a separate collection of high standard objects of museum quality under the name Prestige Collection. Some of these objects can be found in this website. For a more extensive description with pictures of a Prestige Collection Object we can send you on demand an object card with all details.
Feel free to visit us and check - after appointment - the collections in our Home Gallery in Amersfoort.
