This decorative dish with the scene of Joan of Arc is a design by Adolf Le Comte. Adolf was the most important designer with De Porceleyne Fles in Delft and was, among other things, inspired by the Middle Ages.  Here he has arrived at Joan of Arc / The Virgin of Orleans. Above the head of the 19 year-old we see her as a knight on horseback, fighting against the English foe.

Deze sierschotel met de voorstelling van Jeanne d'Arc is een ontwerp van Adolf Le Comte. Adolf Le Comte was de belangrijkste ontwerper bij de 'Fles' en hij liet zich onder andere inspireren door de Middeleeuwen. Zo is hij hier uitgekomen bij Jeanne d'Arc / De maagd van Orléans. Boven het hoofd van de 19-jarige zien wij haar als ridder te paard, vechtend tegen de Engelsen.
