Marja Hooft

Marja Hooft has produced much beautiful autonomous work. Earthenware as well as porcelain. She was co-founder of the artists' movement Cheops in 1985. In the autumn of 2007 she was honoured with an exhibition (her life's work) of her complete works, in the Keramiek Museum Princessehof in Leeuwarden, Friesland (NL). Her works can be found in many museums and private collections.The landscape plastic offered here has been built up by hand and has consciously developed diagonal lines in the pale blue glazed landscape column, finishing in a white full moon. This unique piece was created in 1980.  

Marja Hooft heeft prachtig autonoom keramisch werk gemaakt. Zowel in aardewerk als in porselein. In 1985 was zij medeoprichter van de kunstenaarsbeweging Cheops. In het najaar van 2007 is zij ge-eerd met een expositie (Levenswerk) van haar oeuvre in het Keramiekmuseum Princessehof te Leeuwarden. Haar werk bevindt zich in vele museale en particuliere collecties.                                                            Het hier aangeboden landschapsplastiek is met de hand opgebouwd en heeft bewust ontstane diagonale lijnen in de licht blauw geglazuurde landschap zuil, eindigend in een witte volle maan. Dit unieke stuk is ontstaan in 1980. Puntgaaf. Hoogte 67 cm.
