DK - Richard Manz - huge celadonglaze lidded container

1953-1955 Student with W Euren in Stockholm. 1955-1965 at Gustavsbergs Fabriker in Gustavsberg/ Schweden. 1957 Three months at Konstfackskolan Stockholm, 1966 Mexico City and San Francisco (Peter Voulkos). Since 1967 own atelier with his wife Bodil Manz, in de Starreklinte Kalundborgvej 53, 4534 Horve, Denmark. 1974 Trip to Japan, Arita. 1991 Exhibition in Keramiekmuseum Princessehof, Leeuwarden (NL). He died in 1999.

This huge and impressive stoneware container, the lid lobed into six parts, has a beautiful green celadon glaze. The height is 29,5 cm. From the collection of a Dutch collector of international contemporary ceramics. Approximately 1980s.
