During his long career in ceramics Wim Borst has developed his own unique style. Divisions and connections have continued to run as a leading thread through his life. In this work, numbered 159, Borst has joined one open and two closed compartments together by way of glueing with perspex. The object is matt-black glazed. The outline is scratched into the glaze, whereby the light potsherd becomes visible. An exceptional perfectly made object, a unicum and flawless.

Wim Borst heeft in zijn lange keramische carrière een heel eigen stijl ontwikkeld. Delingen en verbindingen lopen als een rode draad door zijn gehele werk. In dit werk, genummerd 159, heeft Borst één open en twee gesloten compartimenten weer aanééngesloten door middel van verlijmingen met perspex. Het object is mat-zwart geglazuurd. De belijning is uitgekrast in het glazuur, waardoor de lichte scherf zichtbaar wordt. Een uitzondrlijk perfect gemaakt object, een unica en gaaf.
