Gert de Rijk is an energetic potter / ceramic artist. His works are of a great variety. Since 1965 he has prolonged Jan van Ham's Pottery in the Twijnstraat on the Wharf. Apart from his own work, he has also worked with other artists. This large spherical shard-cut vase in salt-glaze is a co-production with the artist Gerard van Rooij (1938-2006), who did the carving.

Gert de Rijk is een energieke pottenbakker / keramische kunstenaar. Zijn oeuvre kent vele aspecten. Sinds 1965 heeft hij de pottenbakkerij in de Twijnstraat aan de Werf van Jan van Ham voortgezet. Naast zijn eigen werk heeft hij steeds met andere kunstenaars samengewerkt. Deze grote, bolle kerfsnede vaas in zoutglazuur is een co-productie tussen Gert de Rijk en Gerard van Rooij (1938-2006). Deze samenwerking vond plaats voordat Z4 (De Vier Zwammen) werd opgericht.
