De Porceleyne Fles - small Jacoba earthenware vase
Adolf le Comte
Porceleyne Fles, De v/h Joost Thooft en Labouchere, Delftsch Aardewerkfabriek
A rare Jacoba earthenware vase with original zinc interior. The vase has been decorated with flowers and lines, carved in the semi dry body. The Jacoba earthenware vases, plates and tiles are produced with local dutch clay. After the first biscuit firing proces the vase is partly glazed with yellow glaze in the flowers and at the lower part of the vase. The whole Jacoba earthenware program is developed and designed by Adolf Le Comte. It is not sure by whom this vase has been made and in what year. We consider the A + R as the year of production, which is 1922.
