Work of the artist:

"Ceramics is my passion. In my workshop I produce unique pieces and small series, which I present at exhibitions, in galleries and at ceramic markets. My speciality is a technique I developed for surface design. A regular pattern is pressed into a slim porcelain-coated vessel. Then the piece is expanded from the inside to a bulbous shape. The surface tears open at the pressed-in areas. The resulting stretched pattern reproduces the shaping process. I track down the characteristics of the material and work in such a way that its limitations and possibilities are reflected in the piece in an exciting way. In a quiet dialogue, if it succeeds, something beautiful develops. Something that gives me a deep feeling of calmness while doing it and whose charisma inspires the viewer."
