Claire L. Debril is born in Arpajon - Essonne (France) in 1927. In 1962 she started her activities in the workshop of Bernard Soleil in Paris. In 1972 she opens her own workshop in Vincennes. She is “in residence” at Faiencerie de Gien between 1970 and 1974. Claire Debril has produced a small oeuvre of perhaps 600 pieces. She is considered as one of the most important French Post-War ceramists.
